One night after their Thursday night game against the Yankees was postponed due to COVID issues, the Red Sox continued their perfect 2021 season against New York with a 4-0 win at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Eduardo Rodriguez held the Yankees scoreless on just two hits and a pair of walks over 5.2 innings to pick up his seventh win of the season.

The Red Sox jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning on an RBI ground out by Hunter Renfroe and a two-run homer by Christian Arroyo (pictured). JD Martinez added an insurance run with a solo homer in the top of the eighth inning.

Tanner Houck threw three scoreless innings in relief, his first appearance since being called up earlier this week from AAA Worcester.

Say what you want about the COVID-ravaged Yankees lineup (this felt more like a spring training contest than a mid-July regular season game), but the Red Sox are now 7-0 against the Yankees this season.
